The Journey Of Life

The 'Journey of Life' is a journey we all must partake in for as long as we exist on this planet earth. If you don't know it before, know it now; your life is a journey! So I urge you to better put your shoes on and get prepared because it's not gonna be all happy times, it can be tough, ugly, beautiful, tiresome, boring, awesome and sometimes difficult.

You face failure during this journey, you encounter breakdowns, you meet wonderful people and you meet defeat but through it all, you will learn and hopefully you grow from it. In the journey of life you don't give up or quit, you press forward towards the goal and when the going gets tougher, the tougher gets going. I've heard people say that the darkest hour is just before dawn and yea that's true.

Well my journey so far has not been all that rosy but at least I am not where I used to be. It ain't easy, and honestly there are still times when I feel down and discouraged, but I'm different now. I have navigated through the difficult paths, I have seen the light and what a wonderful sight it is. I've seen God patiently guide my steps, my thoughts, and my heart, back to Him.

It wasn't with a blistering firestorm, it wasn't with a great miracle, it was with His gentle, loving hands, He moved me, and led me out of my comfort zone. He worked on my heart and in my spirit, and the scales fell off my eyes. He answered my prayers, He made it abundantly clear like I asked Him to. I'm changed, yes, but for the better.

And here's what I've learned when the rug was ripped out from under my feet in this journey;

I've learned that I don't want to be so busy that I forget to worship Him.
I've learned that He loves me through my failures.
I've learned that it's okay to live a life others don't understand.
I've learned that everything you need for this journey will come to you at the perfect time. Be patient!
I've seen what rumors can do to a person and I've learned that a wagging tongue can damage much.
I have learned that it doesn't matter how pretty or cute you are, if your personality sucks.
I have learned that life isn't just about the living happily ever after but it's living bravely, freely and unapologetically.
I've been the brunt of maliciousness and I've learned to pray for the enemies who once were friends.
I've learned that there are friends that will take my burden to the Lord and will pray for me. Those are the best friends to have and I praise God for them!
I've seen that when you do flirt with sin in this journey, expect to get burned.
I've clearly seen the Hand of God working in my life and bringing me through the crooked paths of my journey, and I praise Him for these lessons and more to come.

And lastly in this journey, I want you to know that whenever failure slaps you on your face and you feel like you can't do this anymore, hit on your knees. Beg God to make it crystal clear what He wants you to do with your journey because like I always say, life is meaningless if it's not purposeful.

You might not know where the journey of life will take you but you sure know the one who put you on the path, continue to look up to him and be appreciative for the challenges, the people, the progress and everything else that comes with it. Someday you will look back on how far you have come and be proud of where you are.
