Chasing Your Dreams: Dreaming Vs Doing!

Having dreams is one big thing and fulfilling them sometimes takes much effort on our side.

Every dream helps fuel the energy needed for actualization.

There is just so much to do on your own ends to make them come true. It takes determination, hardwork, perseverance, consistency and dedication.

Action is the foundation of success.

I have watched some of my dreams practically come to be and while there are still a thousand others yet to come true, I know I shouldn't sit back, keep calm, fold my hands and relax. I have to go put in the WORK.

DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

No offence! But these days all I see is a whole number of individuals who wants to reap where they have not sown, I see a lot of youths, students, entrepreneurs and business people, who are not serious about making their dreams come true but yet, they want to attain great feats.

Stop wishing your dreams will come to pass, start doing them.

They love the results but hate the process it takes to get there! Don't get me wrong, I know there are a lot of great potentials and unique individuals out there who are fueled by the passion of their dreams. People who work hard and are not not lazy. They don't wait for things to happen, they go out and make things happen, etc. We have to admit that these are truly the kind of people who make it in life.

Don't just sit around doing nothing, go out and make things happen.

And so I asked myself this, If I must really chase my dreams, what must I be doing?

1. Be found doing the right things in line with your vision or dreams

Too many of us are distracted by the vision of others, we find ourselves entangled by their thoughts, opinions, words or actions and at the end of the day we are already confused or depressed. We are all called do several things and if it has nothing to do with where you are headed to, please keep moving. Stay focused on your path! Stay in your line! Don't cause confusion!

Be inspired by what others are doing but do yours too.

2. Be found with the right people

If you are into women empowerment, you should be found cheering and supporting other women alike in order to foster your development and growth. Truth is a lot of us surround ourselves with wrong people, that's why we don't evolve or grow well. If you really want to develop yourselves, then find your niche and find your own group of people! Start from there! Stop sitting with people or listening to those who know nothing about the place you are headed.

Don't disconnect from people who matters to your dreams.

3. Be passionate about your dreams

Without passion, you would be frustrated by the magnitude of your dreams. I wanted giving up so many times but the love and passion for what I do keeps me up. You have to be passionate about what you do, let it fuel your dreams. Let it wake you up from bed in the morning, let it drive you to attain greatness, let it push you to your greatest peak. You would be grateful it did!

Passion fuels your vision.

4. Learn from others

To be the best, you've got to learn from the best. If you think you can succeed alone, then that's a big lie. You need a whole lot of people, people who will bring out the best in you, people who encourage and support you, people who can teach, mentor, and advise you, people who pray for you, people who can inspire you. Don't do life all by yourself, connect with others, learn something new everyday, share your passions and interests with people, build relationships that matter.

The more you learn, the more prepared you become for success.

5. Stay relevant in your field

Too many of us are ignorant, we lack the necessary skills, necessary knowledge, and needed keys to succeed or make our dreams come true. We hate to admit it but it's so true! Every top person in their field/industry today didn't get their on a platter of gold, they did something extraordinary. They stayed relevant! They learned! They gained knowledge that was put to practical use! I didn't know so much about blogging when I started but I was open to learn new things in order to stay relevant. What values are you adding or contributing to make yourself better everyday?

  1. This is a great post and very true! I especially liked your point on how people “like the results of success but not the process.” We all must work hard to achieve what we want in life.
