Sunday Vibes || A New Level of Faith

Just few days back I was having my bible study and this question dropped in my spirit, Naomi why do you think, Jesus always said to people 'let it be unto you according to your faith' or 'if thou believe'? And I was like errrmmm...then I started wondering? But thankfully I was currently reading a book by Reinhard Bonnke titled 'Faith - The Link with God's Power'.

A very powerful book on the teaching of Faith that gave me a different perspective at the word and what it truly means to have faith in God. So I thought I should share briefly on the blog what I learnt from my study that day as it can really help or encourage someone.

Don't Hate Feminists - Support Gender Equality!

Just recently, I was having this irresistible urge to address the issues surrounding Feminism and being a Feminist. I feel a lot of things have gone wrong and a lot of people are getting it all wrong. Just last month I saw a post on my Facebook wall were some people expressed their opinions on why they don't need to be Feminists, why they don't like Feminists, and why they feel Women should support themselves rather than stand for gender equality. Well, I'm not against what they stand for neither am I against Women supporting Women.

10 Mobile Phone Apps That Can Really Help Your Life + the one that notifes you of your phone addiction

We live in a digital age and these days, most people including you and I can't do without our mobile phones. It was just the other day, I heard someone got really depressed and refused to eat for two days all because she misplaced her mobile phone. Pretty much sarcastic right? But the fact still remains that technology has taken over our modern day world and nobody wants to be left behind unless you decide to be.

Building a Successful Routine For a Productive Day At Work

Just the other day my boss at work called me up and with a quiet straight face, he asked me; Naomi, how do you create a successful routine everyday that helps people stay very productive at work?

Honestly at first I was dumbfounded because I wasn't expecting it, but after thinking for a minute I replied him, and this was what I had to say. Hope you learn a few things!

1. Get quality sleep the night before: To be honest I can't really say, I go to bed early all of the time because there are a whole lot of things I do and I have to stay up late to work on my own dreams, since that's the only free time I get but I certainly do make up for any left over sleep I accumulated. Getting quality seep is one of the most successful routine anyone can build to stay very productive, your body needs rest after a very long, stressful and busy day.

2. Have a positive morning routine: One that let's you meditate, relax your nerves and reminds you of how awesome you are or can be. Once you are wide awake, make sure you take a deep breath, pray and meditate on how blessed you are, affirm yourself, make positive declarations and confessions, exercise if you can, take a bottle of water, and eat breakfast early enough.

3. Set Goals for the day: I cannot over emphasize the importance of goal setting but research shows that having concrete goals is correlated with huge increases in confidence and feelings of control. Set specific and achievable goals that is necessary and attainable.

4. Have a planner, diary or a reminder app on your phone: While some prefer jotting down their ideas in a well organized planner, some prefer having an app on their phone that makes it easier for them to remember all their events, meetings and dates. A small sized pocket diary would also fit perfectly fine for others. Just figure out which one best suits your lifestyle and you are good to go any day any time.

5. Learn to say no: My boss was shocked when I said this at first but honestly it made a very good point. When I first started working, other units/department would bring their work to my table and expect me to do it for them while I had a whole lot on my table too but because I was termed 'hardworking' and I didn't want to be looked at in a bad way, so I would just accept to do it for them. But I soon realized if I keep accepting every work that comes to my table like that all in the name of being nice, I will end up stressed, bitter and less productive each day. So I learnt to say no! No is a powerful word that will go a long way in protecting you from being unproductive. In fact, saying no to some commitment honors your existing commitments and gives you the opportunity to successfully fulfill them when you have achieved your goals for the day.

Finally, I would say a good routine with good habits provides you with structure and discipline, it keeps you organized and gives you a sense of stability and direction.

It all starts with making the right kind of choices and decisions, then sticking closely by it. You don’t have to wait for the right time or be perfect to do these things, you just have to start small and grow with it.

Hope you have a productive week!

With love,

Naomi Destiny

My 31 Days Godfessions

With all that is going on in our world today, the negativities here and there, it takes more than just being a cool person to step out each day expecting to gain victory over the evil devices of our enemies.

It takes prayers, determination, faith, courage, and constant declaration of the word of God. So I took 31 days out of my journey in February 2017, to speak, declare, and prophecy great things into the atmosphere and into my life.

Do you know that you have the legislative right to cause change to come to you based on the power and dominion that God has given you through His word everyday? (Job 22:28).

God even promised us that His Word never returns void (Isaiah 55:11). And when you apply the Word of God to your life and your specific needs, you will experience the dimension of His power.

In biblical times, the King had the authority to make decrees. How much more when God said in His word

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. - Job 22:28

31 days is not even enough, you need to make certain declarations everyday. You also need to keep speaking it and have faith in it until you see the manifestation of it all. I received beautiful testimonies from those who followed these my personalized declaration on my social media platforms, so I promised to share the whole full 31days on the blog for those who missed it. Enjoy!

Much Love,

Naomi Destiny

Cell Phone Hacks Every One Needs To Know

This post was inspired by Cosmopolitan www.cosmopolitan.com I found the advice on their site very useful and I am certain it will help you guys.

1. Hide your cash or ID cards in between your phone and the phone case. I often do this especially when where I am going is not safe and requires no handbag.

2. Change your phone background to a photo of your name and an emergency contact number in case you lose your phone. Type it into your notes app, take a screenshot, and change it to your lock screen. And then just hope that the person who finds your phone is a good Samaritan.

3. Screenshot travel directions and then turn off your Internet to save battery. Y'all know screenshots save lives, many blessings upon whoever created or initiated it. Don't drain all your battery by relying on GPS during the drive to the venue. Instead, turn off your location services after taking the screenshot and refer to photos of the directions.

4. Switch your phone to airplane mode to make it charge faster. Who else has noticed this is very true. If you don't want to switch off your phone while charging and you want it to charge faster, you can just switch to airplane mode.

5. Have your friend hold their phone's flashlight in front of what you're trying to shoot for extra lighting and brighter photos.

6. Cover the microphone when filming a video to make the sound clearer when you watch it. This usually helps eliminate some of the annoying, fuzzy sound around  when recording.

 7. If you've found the perfect camera angle but can't reach the shutter button, try plugging in original earbuds and using the volume buttons on the cord instead. This is a great tip especially if you are a not too tall person.

8. Use your selfie stick to take photos of where you are when you can't see over a crowd of people.

9. Turn off cellular data usage for certain apps and features that you won't be needing to save battery. Go to the Cellular or Data Usage tab under your phone's Settings, and switch off cellular data for specific apps that use a lot of your data. It really does save up battery.

10. Use the front camera on your phone for softer photos and the main camera to take more detailed shots. Pictures taken with the front camera have an airbrushed effect (great for selfies) while the main camera is much sharper and better for taking distance shots.
